The name Hoyer is synonymous with lifts. Ted Hoyer, an innovative quadriplegic, invented the first power lift over 55 years ago. Frustrated by his lack of independence and mobility, Ted was inspired to draft plans for an invention to remedy the situation. With help from his cousin, Hoyer developed the first powered patient lift.
